The’r Ceiri Hillfort
On the Northern coast of the LLyn peninsula hillfort top remnants scar the tops of the skyline. Over 450m above sea level the atmosphere enchants and creates a reflective sense of an ancient time when life was different yet similar.
This panoramic oil painting 189 x 59 is both painterly with expressive strokes and blocks of paint to capture the sweeping fields moving into translucent areas of paint to depict the change in light and the twilight horizon of the welsh sky.
The painting studies the transitioning light and passages of colour in both the land and sky. This deep canvas object is framed with a solid wood shadow box frame highlighting the painting object as both an illusionary space and as a large human scale form on the wall.
