South of the LLyn peninsula harbour estuaries hold gullies for small vessels to shelter when the tides change.
This large oil painting 126 x 96 is both painterly with expressive strokes of paint to capture the bracken and vegetation in the foreground whilst translucent areas of paint depict the change in light and the passing of clouds in the grey welsh sky.
The painting studies the hard and soft edges of both space and depth. This deep canvas object is framed with a solid wood shadow box frame highlighting the painting object as both an illusionary space and as a large human scale form on the wall.
